Last month I gave you some ideas for staying on top of the piles of papers that come home from school. To help your kids get (and stay organized) provide a homework table just for them.
Start with an end table with multiple shelves. The condition of the finish doesn’t matter as long as it’s sturdy.
Instead of spray paint, I used good quality high gloss paint and a brush. Did you know chalk board paint is now available in colors other than black? I painted the top with several coats of purple.
For a different twist, I used patterned duct tape to decorate the legs. I randomly added bright green to the paint splash design. Then I outlined the top edge with more of the green.
To keep everything neat, add baskets. You can label each with each kids names or by project or class.
Of course the fun part is being able to write and draw right on top. What a fun way to practice spelling or math!
